hey people, i got a problem with my computer...


i got on my mother board 4 slots for ram

i got 2 ram of 512

so ...


1st slot blue 2nd slot black 3rd slot blue 4th slot black

i was using my 2 512 ram on both of my black slots
but, today, i checked if i had a ram problem...

i used 1 ram by one

it came out that 3 slots are gone ... doesnt matter which ram i put on the slot, when i boot the pc, i got some long bips.

only 1 slot still works and with both 512 ram's does it mean that my ram are good and mother card is f**ked up ?


if anyone can help, how to check mother board, etc...

2nd problem with ut :

my ut ( with roiginal cd ) cant be installed on my pc due to some .cab files problem, or it seems so
i reinstalled windows, so i was pretty sure that ut wud be installed, nothing to do ... still cant install that game
i started thinking that the cd is maybe f**ked up, but, i installed ut, with no problems on my bro's pc ... so? what is the problem ?!!! some ppl on forums say its a ram problem, so, mayb is related to my previous problem ( thats why i wanted to check my ram ... )

got any ideas ?

Simple,
1) For the RAM, it seems you have a dual chanel slot system.
2 slots blue
2 slots black

In my old memory, you can put:
1 only RAM part on the only slot n°1
OR
2 RAM part (which have to be same size i.e.:512 X2) on the first dual chanel which corespond to n°1 & n°3 slots

With the test you've made, both of your RAM parts are OK, so, I think you do not have any RAM trouble.

2) For UT install trouble, has I told you on TS, ".cab" files are sorts of zip files dedicated for windows installers. So your analyse is good: your CD is dead manito o/
Just download unreal from the web. Then use your original CDKey.

If you already have downloaded it, maybe your Burning method was bad. Contact me for TS assistance. Just try to download the game and We will fix it soon mate.

3rd. i dled ut 3 times, and all the ut i did dl are not good, they all god problems when i try to exract them, fecking angry, 11 giga dl worthless ...

ok, ut version has not any problem, even more since i installed my ut on bro's computer and it worked well ...
computer has a problem, i think its the mother board, beeing boring, i m planning to buy a new pc so, problme will surely be over! dunno how long i ll stay without ut but, i ll do it has fast as i can
